Tom Cruise worked the red carpet for TWO AND A HALF HOURS at the London premiere of his new film "Lions for Lambs". Tom signed autographs and greeted fans who had waited out in the cold and rain to catch a glimpse of him. He's really trying to hold onto that fan base. That was nice of him.

The 45-year-old star refrained from any of the lively stunts that he has been lampooned for recently while he met the crowd at the world premiere of Lions For Lambs.

But after a previous incident in which the former Top Gun actor was squirted with a water pistol, organisers of this year's premiere were taking no chances.

Bags were searched to check for any devices that could cause similar embarrassment at the red-carpet event in Leicester Square, while TV crews were told not to do live interviews.

Remember how bullshit he got about the water pistol? He looked like he was going to focus his Xenu mind powers and go Carrie on everyone. Tom's wife Katie Holmes and their baby Suri were back in the States, putting the finishing touches on their escape plan. Which means Tom can hit the gay clubs in a wig with a subtle security team. Do it to it, Maverick! Get yourself some Brit twinks!

Lindsay Lohan is a woman who is serious about her accessories. Even her notebook has to make some kind of a bold statement--and it does. I like to imagine that it's her diary, which quite frankly is deservedly dressed in a shocking pink tiger print--made from the mini-skirts of dead Vegas prostitutes. And seriously, why should it have a lock on it, when she lives her life so publicly? But seriously, with all the public backlash against the troubled starlet, she still has her supporters. Christian Slater and George Clooney chatted about how they feel for Lindsay, and that they can sympathize with her struggles in the spotlight. According to Christian:

"Had (Clooney) been discovered at the age of 20, and had to go through whatever he's had to go through in his life in the public eye at that age... as he said to me: 'Jesus Christ, I'm certainly grateful that I didn't have to do that. I mean, the guy was 35 when he went on ER."

Oh you celebrities, with your villas and your understanding. I know these two men are being completely reasonable and trying to respect Lindsay, but it's SO much more fun just to point and laugh. They really should try it some time. It's as delicious as chocolate pudding.

Here's Gisele Bundchen, in her natural habitat, enjoying the sun and sand of the beach. She appears relaxed and happy here in Miami Beach, but don't be fooled--her relationship with Tom Brady is reportedly showing signs of wearing thin. The two were spotted engaged in a public lover's quarrel outside a night club a few days ago. It's nice to know that supermodels don't necessarily make super girlfriends. Yes, I'll cling to that shred while I'm perusing these pictures of the body-fatless wonder. Le sigh.

I'm not a behavior expert, so I don't have a clue as to what Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon's collective body language is saying. Usually, I don't let a little trifle like my lack of expertise get in the way of confidently spouting opinions, but I will venture to say that they do look good together promoting their film, "Rendition." And while making the rounds of press for the film, Jake recently made an interesting confession about his time spent on the floor of the men's restroom. The subject came up during a discussion of the time Jake was stuck in a woman's bathroom with actress Susan Sarandon.

I discovered two things that day: that the floor in a woman's bathroom is colder than the floor in the men's. And, believe me, I've spent a lot of time on the floor of a men's bathroom so I should know! And women pee louder than men do, even though we might expect not. Maybe it's just American women? I don't know.

I'm sorry, I know I seem not to be able to decide if I want to join the Jake Gyllenhaal might be a switch-hitter, or if he's dating Reese but hey, why can't I have my cake and eat it too? Maybe I'm right on both counts. As long as he keeps allowing himself to be photographed shirtless, who cares?

Malibu socialite, Lilly Lawrence or "Princess Lilly," as she is affectionately known, had lived in the Kashan Castle high on a hill overlooking Malibu Lagoon since 1998. The 30-year-old castle was among those properties destroyed by the Malibu fires yesterday, that as of writing this, are still only ten percent contained. "Princess Lilly," the daughter of a former Iranian oil minister, managed to escape along with a house guest, as flames began burning the castle walls. She managed to grab just a few things: her kitties, personal phonebooks, a few pieces of jewelry and Elvis' Army fatigues. Seemingly a bit underwhelmed by her substantial losses, she said that her father taught her "not to allow her possessions possess her."

Several other celebrities that live in the area may also be evacuated as well. From X-17.com:

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson own this house in Malibu Colony (brown shingles in the center). They count Goldie Hawn, Pamela Anderson, Val Kilmer, Olivia Newton-John, Sting, Jim Carrey, and Diana Ross as neighbors.

TMZ has also learned that Promises Treatment Center, where Britney and Lindsay have recently been treating, has also been evacuated.
