The Dark Angel actress Jessica Alba is lining up a stint on the Broadway stage next year (08) in order to beat an actor’ strike. Alba is talking to star in a production of David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow, playing Karen which is a role debuted on the New York stage in 1998 by Madonna.

Alba wants the show to coincide with a planned actor’s strike because then she will not have to be out of work. The Sin City actress told the U.S morning TV show Live with Regis and Kelly that “I have been asked. It’s a perfect timing because of the strike.” “There might be an actor’s strike in June.
